Introduction
I don’t know if any of you have gotten a new TV and found it in Retail Mode, but I did. And the ticket number they give to take care of this issue is worthless as all that does is direct you back to the menu/settings/retail mode screens which never go away. Well, after getting into Retail Mode I thought to myself “I bet I can find a way out of here”. And luckily, I was right.
How to get samsung tv out of retail mode?
First you have to figure out how to get into the menu/settings screens that are keeping you in Retail Mode. To do this, press these buttons on your remote in order:
*Info*Power*Menu
…during the Samsung Logo. This will get you into the menu/settings screens. Note: If you’ve gotten this far and your TV is still in Retail Mode, it’s probably because your audio settings are set to External Speaker for Audio Out. If so, change it to Internal Speaker (under Settings/Sound).
After getting into the menus, just toggle around until you find “Retail Mode” and click to turn it off. That’s all there is to it. Now you can enjoy your new TV.

How to add your favorite channels and streaming services to Roku 3
If you want to add streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Instant Video or YouTube, then you need to visit the channel store for them on your Roku. You can get there by clicking “Home” > “Streaming Channels” (on the far right) > “Store”. After doing that, click on any of the services you want to add and then select “Add Channel”. After the channel is installed, you will get a notice on your screen telling you that it’s ready to use. To access the channel, click “Home” > “Streaming Channels” (in the middle) > “My Channels” > your brand new channel.
Conclusion:
The whole Samsung Retail Mode thing is an annoyance, but at least it’s not too hard to figure out and get yourself back to standard TV operating mode. Retail Mode may be useful for some, but it’s not necessary if you don’t use it. If you bought your TV at Best Buy and they activate Retail Mode on your TV when they set it up in the store, or if you buy a new Samsung TV or any other Smart TV at BestBuy, then this article is for you.
